APEX is a new brand proposal for a sports clothing label based in Hong Kong, that focuses on the precept of becoming the ultimate competitor, always striving to be the best.
The logo we designed captures the brands philosophy through the use of two powerful predator images, representing no matter how high you climb, you can always strive for more. Become the APEX.
The use of negative space creates an imposing logo mark which is easily acknowledged and compliments a strong brand impression.
We wanted the perception of APEX to be one of unquestioned authority and developed a typeface to represent this with bold, masculine brush strokes.
As a prerequisite, we were asked not to develop a set palette, but instead create a Logomark that would appeal over several colour options.
