Our branding proposal for an existing game development company in Tokyo who required modernization of a dated brand image.
The naming for the company is inspired by the rich heritage or martial arts games produced by this company and led us to “Shuriken” known as Throwing or Ninja Stars in the West.
The ease to understand and pronounce the company’s name in different languages was also taken into consideration.
The Shuriken icon, is a symbol of artistry and master craft used as a reference to the years of work and attention to detail that is found in all their work.
A custom typeface was created to mimic the form of a Throwing Star and is complimented with a simple, computerized typeface.
